Perth Psychologist Fees & Rebates
$160 Full Session Fees Before Rebates
This is significantly less than the APS recommended fees for 2018-2019. If you are eligible for Medicare or Private Health Rebates, your out of pocket fees will be significantly lower than this.
Psychologist Medicare Rebate
Medicare rebates are not automatic, please read through this page carefully to learn how to be eligible for and receive your rebate. If you have any questions, just give us a call at 1300 059 666.
How to get your Psychologist Medicare Rebate
To get your medicare rebate for visiting a psychologist, you first have to book an appointment with your GP and let them know you need a mental health care plan (MHCP). Your GP will then work with you to develop this MHCP at your appointment and write you a referral to a psychologist if necessary. Currently, Medicare allows you to see any psychologist you wish with a MHCP even if it is not the one you have been referred to. Please speak with your doctor or give us a call to find out more. Before you go about getting your referral, it is advised that you give us a call or have a chat with us to find out which of our psychologists would be a better match for your concerns. You need to ensure that we receive a copy of your MHCP and referral letter before or at your first session to be eligible to receive your rebate. Usually, you will bring the document with you but in certain cases, your GP might fax it over to us directly. Medicare will rebate a total of 10 sessions per calendar year. If you have any questions about medicare rebates please give us a call at 1300 059 666 or use our contact form here and we’ll be happy to talk you through.
Do you offer Bulk Billing Psychologist Services?
We are deeply committed to providing the best and most accessible mental healthcare that we can. This is reflected in our reduced fees. While we do not offer bulk billing psychology services, we do offer a reduced rate for healthcare card holders. Please get in touch to learn more.
Using Private Health Insurance
Private health insurance may offer significant rebates depending on your particular policy and level of cover. This could range anywhere from less than $50 to the full amount but you should always check with your provider before you book a session with a psychologist. You do not need any referrals to claim private health rebates and can just make a booking with us directly. The amount you will be rebated varies greatly between providers, it is always a good idea to check with both us, and your health insurance provider beforehand to make sure that your sessions will be covered. If you are covered, you will only have to pay the gap fee.
Please note that Medicare does not provide a rebate for couples and relationship / marriage counselling. For this service, you will have to pay the full $180 out of pocket at each appointment. We know it can be hard to afford counselling when you are going through a tough time so we have tried to price ourselves as affordably as we can.
Fees for Organisational Services

Rest assured, our commitment to affordable and accessible mental health services extends to this area as well and we are confident you will be extremely pleased with the value we can provide.
